JQ Rodney Bay Mall is a part of the JQ Charles Group of Companies. Founded in 1944 by Sir Joseph Quentin Charles, JQ Charles Limited started as a small Castries-based grocery retail operation, which expanded and diversified under dedicated management. JQ Charles Limited and its associated companies became an entrepreneurial conglomerate that has employed thousands of Saint Lucians over six decades while producing the widest range of goods and services ever offered on the island. The Group has over the years engaged in manufacturing, agriculture, real estate and its largest sector, import and export, with wholesale and retail outlets throughout the island.

Buses are an extremely affordable option for travellers. Fares are rarely more than $5 USD. The fare from Castries to Rodney Bay is $2.25 XCD, which is less than $1 USD.
Taxi
Taxis in Saint Lucia are not metered, but have fixed fares for standard trips. For example, up to four people can travel from Castries to Rodney Bay for $40 XCD, about $15 USD. Travellers can often find a listing of fares to common destinations published by the tourism board to help them with their on-island travels. Visitors should negotiate the fare with the driver before embarking on a trip, and agree on whether the fare will be paid in United States Dollars (USD) or Eastern Caribbean Dollars (EC).
Rentals
Rentals from most of the major providers range from $50 USD to $60 USD per day. Cars or sport-utility vehicles with four wheel drive are available at several of the local rental companies where rates start at $45 USD to $50 USD per day, depending on the size of the vehicle. Few providers offer unlimited mileage.
